Mars

‘Mars’ is the fourth planet from the Sun and the second-smallest planet in the Solar System, just larger than Mercury.  Mars carries the name of the Roman god of war and is often referred to as the ‘Red Planet’, it is a dusty, cold, desert world with a very thin atmosphere. Mars has  seasons, polar ice caps, canyons, extinct volcanoes, and there is evidence that it was even more active than in the past.
